I got married two weeks ago
It went from it’s happening to it happened.
God did it. *Drop the beat*
I met my now husband, almost two years ago in December of 2021 after the Lord moved me to Texas by faith. A part of the relocation included the promise that my husband was in the upcoming season.
Now what it took to get to the altar is a story I will explain all the details in the coming months on my podcast.
To add a little razzle-dazzle to the plot, my job ended two days before my wedding. Seriously it’s a set-up for God to show out. It made me think of a section in a book titled, “Anonymous: The Hidden Years of Jesus and Yours,” that my friend indirectly recommended.
In reading, it’s revealed that 90% of Jesus’ ministry was unseen to the public eye.
From 1 to 29, we know minimal details about his life. All we know is that “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people (Luke 2:52).”
As I read chapter four, I couldn’t shake this line:
“I feel that trials do not prepare us for what’s to come as much as they reveal what we’ve done with our lives up to this point.”
What a selah moment.
In a friend's good intention to help her mentor see how this trial is preparation for the next, her pondering revealed, previous trials, prepared her for exactly this.
We often see pain as a catalyst for change. What if it’s an agent used to reveal character development and growth? There were a lot of tears leading to the altar, but God did it. Subscribe to my podcast to be the first to hear about it.
A word of encouragement for you: God’s the type to put on you on the heart of those who have the access code to the next door of your life…out of the blue.
When it happens, testify openly.
We’re in a “God did it” season.
A collision between obedience and endurance.
I challenge you to move in intentionality, not silence.
