It's not always what it seems
Our perspective is limited.
We are finite creatures.
Our ways are NOT God’s ways nor our thoughts his thoughts.
Our nature is automatically sin-filled—redeemed when we choose to believe Jesus bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live in righteousness […] (1 Peter 2:24).
Read Galatians 5.
We are to decide daily to live in righteousness.
Sometimes we do not know and get it wrong in the name of good intentions.
God is not looking for perfection.
He desires submission.
He desires surrender.
The sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you (he) will not despise
Are we willing to look at our heart and examine it?
Can we turn away from that which displeases God?
Can we be okay if our prophetic words get it wrong?
God never gets it wrong, even when we do.
However, he is inviting us into the more.
He is inviting us to enjoy the journey he prepared, shaped by the decisions we make and the words we do or do not speak.
And when we get it wrong, will we humbly repent? or offer an apology to all affected partners.
We must be okay with not always knowing or getting it wrong.
We are still evolving.
Lean into the shift.
Lean into the seasons of stillness or quiet.
The moment we deem ourselves an expert is the moment we allow pride a seat at the table. Desire to be a student, even when life experiences demand us a teacher.
Allow the fruit of your life to speak—when your words fall short. #keepgoing
