It only took a year.

Did you know I have written two books already?

It Hurts to Heal (2018) - Healing hurts! It can be hard to admit it. There is no structure to learning the parts of our hearts that are straight-up disgusting. We require continuous help, not to be done alone or in silence.

But Healing Does Come (2022) - You are starting to look like a whole new person—inward growth manifested outwardly. I pray you see it! Grace is the main ingredient needed continuously: the grace to give and the grace to receive. Give yourself the grace to authentically be.

Both books, 'It Hurts to Heal" and "But Healing Does Come," are used simultaneously on the journey of becoming. As a reminder to embrace the pruning and celebrate who we eventually become by showing up as the best version of ourselves daily.

Why is knowing I wrote two books important?

It Hurts to Heal, But Healing Does Come are a collection of poems written as I ventured through the initial phases of my healing process, learning how to surrender to God and understand his word.

I am currently writing an informal, experimental book mixing a memoir and an anthology of lessons collected on my journey of becoming more like Christ.

THE TITLE OF THIS BOOK IS PENDING… I WILL INCLUDE THE TABLE OF CONTENTS FOR US TO KEEP TRACK OF ALL MY PUBLISHED WRITING FOR THIS PROJECT.

I am struggling to write this book, which is why I need you as my accountability partner. This initiative exists because I needed help. I have written two poetry books already, but this one is different. I am struggling to write it.

It requires a new level of discipline and vulnerability.

For me to accomplish this goal, I need you. As a subscriber and early reader, I am asking you to make a $7 monthly commitment. You can cancel anytime if the book’s vision doesn’t serve your journey.

I started in June. However, I am extending myself grace to stride with God and not strive to get this done quickly. There is always a test in revelation. It’s called a continued application—through refinement.
