YALL!
My church hosted our annual conference, Pioneers of the Future, this weekend (social distance protocol of course) and I am recovering from it. It felt like I started a new workout schedule and increased the weights and reps. I will upload some videos soon unpacking it because I am still processing it. This conference started off as an idea about 10 years ago. It was a dream. My pastors did not give up on it.
My biggest takeaways from Pioneers of The Future 2020:
When I get to the next phase of this journey, I’ll have photographic evidence that this wasn’t a dream. #grateful
It’s through watching we learn. We don’t need to be beside, just close enough to catch a view.
It comes with a cost. Many desire a certain level of intimacy and depth, but aren’t willing to sacrifice personal desires for God’s. Plot twist: We can’t miss out on something God never wrote into our story. Read that again. (See: Matthew 6:33)
The shift from receiving to serving is still a gift, it’s sowing into the vision.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with a good friend Michael Tirpak and chat about, “Why you shoudln’t give up on your dreams.”
