Those “deep revelation” moments have caught me left and right over the last few weeks. I’m learning to release this idea of arrival. If we have breath, we have time to learn, experience, and repent of (turning away from that which displeases God).
There is no place of arrival!
As a woman in the marketing, tech, sales, and entrepreneurship industry, it’s time we have a conversation. This conversation is a part of the revelation God’s dealing with me over.
Our identity must be rooted in CHRIST always.
If movements and agendas create a divide OR attempt to place one group as superior over the other is there a difference? How can we exclude one and defend the other? If the fruit produces offense or anger, how can we help bridge the divide?
I desire social change but from a kingdom perspective.
Something about Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday is exposing the already muddy waters. You start to see the true colors of what this country has become—greedy, self-centered, drifting farther from our Creator.
Hiring more black voices in leadership would pan out better than creating designs and marketing around our blackness.
We didn’t ask for corporation marketing to focus on us. We asked to finally be seen as an equal and contributing factor to any brand or business’s success by adding our experience’s authenticity to the decision-making.
Just because you add a photo or an illustration doesn’t scream inclusive.
It does the exact opposite.
It continues to enforce the narrative of separate but equal.
Include us in the rooms of decisions.
Hire us in higher-up leadership positions.
Stop making excuses.
Stop attempting to make a quick buck off of our mistreatment.
It’s never been about OUR HISTORY. It’s always been about seeing us in the fabric of THE HISTORY this country was built on.
BLACK HISTORY IS AMERICAN HISTORY.
I am more slave than I am of African descent.
I am no more African than I am American.
WITHOUT Christ, this conversation is pointless.
This country IS BUILT on the back of a perverted doctrine. UNTIL we collectively make decisions from the place of relationship WITH Christ to see unity and reconciliation, it will just be reckless chatter to another hardened heart.
Deception will always be the true power play.
Diversity and inclusivity are starting to take on a whole new form. Are you prepared for it?
How is God calling you to show up in your sphere of influence?
Are you willing to go against the grain not because of the color of your skin, or preferences, but because of what God requires of you? This will always usher you into a deeper level of refinement and sanctification.
If there is no acknowledgment of idolatry, sin... there is no guarantee that what proceeds will be favorable.
We are accountable for our decisions whether they are rooted in Christ or not.
Unbelief doesn't blot out the consequences of actions.
If anything, breath in the body continues to affirm God's mercy to allow us to repent and seek His will.
You went through what you went through for various reasons, but did it bring your closer to Christ or cause you to continue to turn away?
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:1-2).
Remember, deception will always be the true power play.
